This means that we have a child protection policy and procedures in place. All staff including our volunteers and supply staff must ensure they are aware of our procedures. This is detailed in our signing in system and can be emailed out in advance on request (secretary@braddock.cornwall.sch.uk).
Sometimes we may need to share information and work in partnership with other agencies when there are concerns about a child’s welfare. We will always ensure that our concerns about our pupils are discussed with the parents/ carers first unless we have reason to believe that this is not in the child’s best interests.
If you have a concern about a child please speak to Mr Tom Riggs.
Our Designated Safeguarding Lead is Mr Tom Riggs

We all have the right to feel safe all the time. We can talk with someone about anything, even if it feels awful or small. The school is required to remind parents regularly that the Child Protection Policy is available to view on the school website. We are also required to remind you that referrals about suspected abuse or neglect may be made by the school.
If you have concerns about a child but you are unable to speak with school staff, you can find up to date information about Child Protection in the South West here:
